Toelatings 2022 Admissions

How and when to apply for 2022 / Hoe en waar om aansoek te doen vir 2022

ONLINE ADMISSIONS: 2022

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that all applications for enrolment at Point must be done on the website of the Western Cape Education Department.

The aim of the online process is to:

• eliminate long queues at school;
• increase access so that parents can apply for admission of their children in the comfort of their homes/offices;
• ensure that parents receive confirmation that the school has received their application;
• enable parents to use the current Admissions Management Information (SAMI) function of the school to trace the status of their application;
• allow parents to use an added function to submit additional information.

The time frame will be as follows:

26/02/2021 – 26/03/2021: Admissions are opened.
29/03/2021 – 14/05/2021: Schools process applications.
24/05/2021 – 28/05/2021: Parents are informed online of the result of the
24/05/2021 – 25/06/2021: Parents confirm final acceptance (online).
25/06/2021                          : Final date for parents to submit certified copies of required documents.

In cases where parents have not made a final decision by 25 June 2021, the system will automatically place the learner in the first successful school, as determined by the parent’s preference of choice.

Should parents not confirm the final acceptance by 25 June 2021, or do not submit certified copies of required documents by 25 June 2021, schools may offer available places to learners on the waiting list or to learners who have not been placed in schools.

The following CERTIFIED DOCUMENTS must be uploaded while doing the online application:
Latest school report
Proof of residence
Certificate of birth
Identity documents of parents

These documents and an application form (available at school OR on our website) must be handed in at school before or on 25 June 2021.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: The system requires parents to place schools in order of
preference online.

The contact details of a parent is COMPULSORY and a current cell phone number, e-mail address and home address is crucially important for the system to function.

Submission of an online application by a parent is no guarantee that a child will be placed in the school/s of choice.

The first person to register on the system is viewed as the primary parent/guardian and communication will automatically be addressed to this person by the system. Any disputes in this regard must be addressed to the district office.

When the school has accepted the learner, and the parent has confirmed final acceptance at one school by 5 June 2020, the system will inform the parent/guardian that certified copies that are required by the school must be submitted within 14 days. If the additional documents are not submitted timeously, the application will be classified as incomplete and LATE and will be processed only when the outstanding documents have been received.

Only when the school has confirmed on the system that the documents have been received, will the process be considered complete.

You are encouraged to complete the process as quickly as possible. Like last year, we expect a large number of applications. We will not be able to accommodate all the learners.

For assistance with online applications, contact Ms Elsa Deetlefs (044 6912274 / 0606201522).

MAKE POINT HIGH SCHOOL YOUR NO. 1 CHOICE.

AANLYNTOELATINGS: 2022

• lang toue by skole uit te skakel;
• toegang uit te brei sodat ouers dit in die gemak van hul huise/kantore kan doen;
• te verseker dat ouers bevestiging dat hulle by ‘n skool aansoek gedoen het, ontvang;

29/03/2021 – 14/05/2021: Skole verwerk aansoeke
24/05/2021 – 28/05/2021: Ouers word per e-pos/SMS van die uitkoms in kennis gestel
24/05/2021 – 25/06/2021: Ouers bevestig finale aanvaarding (aanlyn).

Nuutste skoolrapport
Bewys van woonadres
Geboortesertifikaat
